Monday evening, we gathered with all our catechists to celebrate the beginning of our new catechetical year. It was an amazing evening filled with enthusiasm and great joy. When we come together, it amazes me just how many people of our parish who have answered the vocation to minister to the young people. At the end of our meeting, we closed with an open forum for comments and questions concerning this catechetical year. I would like to share some of their comments from last night’s meeting. “I love teaching our children.” “I can’t wait to see the students walk through our door.” “I pray I can teach our children about God for the rest of my life.” “I’m here to serve in any capacity you need.” These were just a few of their wonderful expressions of their spirit of love and devotion.
Thank you, Jesus, for all the wonderful stewards of our parish who pass their faith forward to the children. Your reward will be great in heaven.
