The Lady, The Mother of God

The spirit of thanksgiving is the cornerstone of stewardship. On the Feast of the Assumption, we expressed our thankfulness to Jesus for giving the Church his mother, the woman who said “yes” to God. A few months ago, one of our new parishioners came to Fr. Mike with a vision to continue a long tradition of celebrating the Feast of the Assumption with a Mass, a procession, and a reception to follow. Last Monday about two hundred plus people from the entire community came together to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption, including the Knights of Columbus and the Bluecoat Band that helped to make this celebration even more memorable.

Once again, the good people of the parish were the instruments of God’s hand to help make this vision become a reality. This evening was unbelievable! Thank you to Fr. Mike and all the people who shared their time, talent, and treasure to honor The Lady, The Mother of God.
Love,
Deacon John
