The Celebrate Ministry has touched the lives of so many young people.

Last weekend our parish hosted the Celebrate Weekend. The weekend was absolutely, amazing! The senior class of our parish and community hosted 28 Junior Celebrators. We faced so many challenges over the past year- the Covid-19 pandemic and then the fire at our church. But, once again the grace of God prevailed, and the weekend went on and brought the Presence of God to light in the hearts of these outstanding teenagers.

The Celebrate Ministry has touched the lives of so many young people for well over a decade. I have witnessed our past Celebrators live their Catholic faith and become outstanding members of our parish. They are serving the church as lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, ushers, catechists and in a multitude of other ways. We are so blessed to have so many young men and women serving Mother Church.

I would also like to thank Fr. Mike for his continued support of this ministry. I thank Teri Ray, our Celebrate Coordinator, for her devotion and love she has for our teenagers and this ministry. I also thank the adult Celebrate Advisors for generously giving your time to this ministry, and a special thanks to our parishioners that joyfully support this ministry year after year.

“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12).
