A special thank you this week to our youngest stewards who volunteer in the SHINE Ministry. Last Monday, Nov. 28, we had 28 children (Grades K-4th), parents, and advisors who joyfully worked together to make Christmas cards and decorate gift bags with items donated by our generous participants and parishioners that will be given to the residents of Elmwood Assisted Living. The Gospel message for this lesson focused on Matthew 25: 35-40, “…for I was hungry, and you gave me food, I was thirsty, and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked, and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me…”
One of my favorite stewardship quotes is this, “What you are is God’s gift to you and what you become is your gift to God.” Thank you to all as we strive to show our children what an active and vibrant faith looks like.
Love,
Deacon John
