It was only a few weeks ago that our Christmas Angel Tree was put up in the vestibule of our church. Shortly thereafter, the tree was decorated with angel ornaments. Each angel represented a child who will receive a gift from one of our parishioners. The parishioners were invited to take an angel from the tree after Mass. The tree was empty after only a few Masses!
The tree was re-decorated with more angels several times with the same result. Last week I watched gift after gift come into church until the kitchen was filled. The biggest blessing that I received was the immense joy I observed on the joy-filled faces of the people who brought the gifts.
Stewardship, in part, is the sharing of our joy with others. We as a parish do that exceptionally well. I would like to thank the Angel Tree Team for their dedication to this beautiful ministry and for the many hours they spent in preparation. I would also like to thank the generous stewards who give of their time, talent, and treasure with a joyful heart.
God bless,
Deacon John
