Recognizing the gifts God has given us to share with others

What is the first thing you think of when you hear Stewardship?  The giving of your time, talent and treasure. From a very young age we have all been taught this.

Leonard and I would like to think that we have always lived a life of stewardship. However it was not until we took a good look at ourselves did we realize we were just going through the motions.

For the past 11 years we have been blessed to minister to high school students. Helping them realize the many gifts that God had entrusted to them, however, it was these young adults that helped us recognize gifts God has given to us to be shared lovingly with each other.

Stewardship is simply how we use all that God has entrusted to our care to love Him and our neighbors both inside and outside the Church walls. To be a good steward is to live your life for the glory of God.

Think about your own gifts. What are the gifts God has entrusted to you to share with your parish, school, community?  We pray that we will continue to grow and be better stewards of our faith, and challenge you to search yourselves for the beautiful gifts God has entrusted to you to share with others.

Thank you,

Leonard & Teri Ray
