Our Church’s future is in good hands.

Last Sunday we had our first “Celebrate” meeting. Celebrate is a ministry that invites our high school Seniors to participate in a year of formation where they experience personal growth in their faith. At the end of this formation they pass this gift forward in the form of an exciting and faith-filled retreat weekend for the Juniors of their high school class. Over the years, this ministry has inspired so many of our young people to become outstanding stewards of our parish. They serve the church as extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, lectors, and a multitude of other ministries. They have become examples of stewardship to all of us.

I think we have all heard some of the negative things said about young people in our society today.  I have been blessed to have experienced the total opposite. The majority of young people I have met are beautiful individuals who love God, family and their country. Our Church’s future is in good hands.

I would like to thank Teri Ray, our Celebrate Coordinator, and all our adult leaders who have given their time, talent, and treasure to this beautiful ministry. I encourage all of us to recognize and support the great young people of our parish. May we continue to “celebrate” God’s goodness!

Love,
Deacon John
