During the week of the festival Karen and I kept a close watch on radar weather every day. As we saw all the storms
and rain heading our way, we remembered to put the statue of the Blessed Mary in the school window and asked her to please intercede for us to bless us with good weather for our festival. Sr. Bernadine continued to pray for the storms to pass. Fr. Mike asked all of us to continue our prayers to the Blessed Mother for good weather.
Hearing our prayers, the Blessed Mother did intercede for us! With storms all around us we only had one hour of rainfall on Friday night. We are so thankful that the fruits of our labor and the work of our hands were truly blessed through all our intentions to the Blessed Mother.
On Monday evening we will celebrate the Feast of the Assumption. This day commemorates the belief that Mary,
the mother of Christ, was taken body and soul into heaven to live with her son forever. Through our gratitude, let us come and thank her for all the many ways Mary continues to intercede for all of us.
“The Lord has done great things for us, and we rejoiced.” ~Psalm 128:2
