Festival time is here! I am sure that you have noticed a big difference in our parking lot. It is now our festival grounds. The tents are up and very soon our festival will be in full swing and with God’s help our festival will be a home run this year.
I mentioned in last week’s stewardship column how the “holy rollers” made 4,500 meatballs in just two evenings. This week we have another monumental challenge; that is to make 2,500 stuffed cabbages. We will begin the process of making stuffed cabbage August 2, 3, 4 at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph the Provider School, 1145 Turin St, Youngstown, OH 44510. I pray that we have a huge turnout to help in this process and I am confident that we will. Thank you to Fr. Mike for allowing us to use the school’s kitchen for the prepping and cooking of our festival food. This year’s festival would not have been possible without your generosity and support.
We still have a lot of work ahead of us in these next 7 days, but we also have a lot of blessings to be thankful for. God is truly good! Thank you, sweet and loving Jesus, for allowing us to be together once again at this year’s festival.
Love, Deacon John
