By using our gifts from God, we all can be an inspiration to many and be disciples of God by spreading the good news.

Stewardship is the actions used to display compassion, kindness, and love to others. By using our gifts from God, we all can be an inspiration to many and be disciples of God by spreading the good news. Hello! My name is Giovanni Mileto. I’m a Senior at Hubbard High School. I’m an active member of St. Patrick’s parish here in Hubbard. I volunteer in many fundraisers or activities here in the Church like the Lenten Fish Fries, Community Thanksgiving dinners, and the Festival. I’m also involved in the Celebrate Ministry as a senior team member and I volunteer my time, talent, and treasure, in any way I can that may be needed throughout the community and within the parish.

The last year and a half has been hard for us all. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused so much panic, anxiety, stress, and so many other factors. Another obstacle we as a church community faced was the fire at our church in January 2021. As the church is under renovation and the pandemic is still lingering, we all must have hope and faith that everything will get better as time goes on. Faith to me, means expressing yourself as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ by being a servant to others. We all face challenges in our lives, but we must not forget that God and the Holy Spirit have our back to push through the obstacles and dodge those darts of temptation that are thrown at us in our lives. By having faith means the world to me through school and obstacles that may put me to the test in my everyday life. And I want to thank the community at St. Patrick’s of Hubbard as twenty other high school seniors within the Diocese of Youngstown and myself will be awarded the Eagle of the Cross award on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. The award is given to high school seniors that show excellent community service and volunteering within the church and the community.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

May God bless you and your family,
Giovanni
