Christ Renews His Parish is an effective spiritual renewal process which calls together members of our parish in order to experience personal conversion and Christian community. The men and women each participate in their own weekend which is open to all parishioners who are at least twenty-one years of age. It is for anyone seeking spiritual renewal, desiring to build up the Body of Christ or gain a deeper sense of purpose within the parish community.
Several times a year parishioners gather in the church hall for a continental breakfast and faith enrichment provided by a speaker. Volunteers are welcome to help prepare and serve the breakfast.
Each Wednesday during Lent (except Ash Wed.), a simple soup supper are with bread, crackers, and a beverage is served from 5:30 – 6:30 pm in the church hall. Although the meal is free of charge, donations are accepted and given to the St. Patrick Food Pantry. It is a time of community fellowship which incorporates the Lenten themes of fasting (a simple meal), almsgiving (a donation) and even prayer (for those who stay after the Supper to celebrate the Close of Eucharistic Adoration). The Soup Suppers are open to the public and all are welcome to attend. Much help is needed for these events since all soup, supplies and time are donated.
