You are invited to participate in our upcoming professional photography session. Our goal as a parish is 100% participation. Our directory won’t be complete without you! Every family will receive a free 8 x 10 portrait as well as a copy of the parish pictorial directory, and will have the opportunity to purchase additional portraits. The photography dates are: Oct. 16-20 and Oct. 23-27. Weekday appointments range between 2 and 9pm, Saturday appointments range between 10 am and 5 pm. Faith on Fire Parish Mission with Vince Ambrosetti
Vince Ambrosetti was named Catholic Artist of the Year in 2001 and has been honored with seven other Unity awards for his music. He sang his song, “Sanctuary” during Communion at Mother Teresa’s funeral in Calcutta, India. He has also composed, recorded and by invitation of the Vatican, performed for Pope John Paul II at St. Peter’s Basilica. Vince’s music is published by ILP Music, He completed his studies in Systematic Theology at the University of Notre Dame, S. Bend, IN and has been nominated for three Grammy Awards.

Family Faith Day–Sunday, October 28, 2018

Join us for our Parish Family Faith Day as we discover a little more about the communion of saints, those who have gone before us and the special people among us that live saintly lives. Our Kindergartners will have a saintly presentation and song for us, our seventh graders will tell us about our newly canonized saints, we will look at the Beatitudes as our example of holiness and we will make “Saint Awards” to thank our living examples of holiness. Our third grade class will lead us in a closing Litany of Saints prayer. Come and celebrate ALL our saints!

The Pumpkin Patch Parable, Monday, Oct. 29 at 6:30 pm in the church hall
This charming story for children illustrates how a loving farmer can turn a simple pumpkin into a simply glorious sight. In the same way, God’s transforming love can fill each of our hearts with joy and light. Children will enjoy a book, craft and snack. Diocesan Youth Convention 2018

The Diocesan Youth Convention 2018, will take place November 4, 12:30-7:00pm *optional concert till 8:30pm at St. Michael Parish, Canton, Ohio. Those high school students (grades 9-12) interested need to contact Dominic or Heather at the parish house, or by email, StPatsTeenMinistry@gmail.com, ASAP, Deadline is October 15, cost is $30 per student/chaperone.
First Step For Change
Once again our parish is participating in this worthwhile program by asking people to fill baby bottles with change, dollars and cents. See the display on the portico side vestibule for more information. Funds collected will enable Catholic Charities to purchase food, formula, diapers and other items essential to a child’s health, safety and well-being. Don’t forget to return bottles to church by the end of October.

Solemnity of All Saints (Holyday of Obligation)

The Church celebrates holy men and women throughout the year on various saint days, but the Solemnity of All Saints is when the Church honors every saint: those officially known and honored on the Church calendar, and saints known only to God.

On Friday, November 2, 2018, All Souls Day, St. Patrick Church will have a memorial Mass for all our deceased members at 7:00 p.m. Families of parishioners who died this past year, Nov. 1, 2017– October 30, 2018, received an invitation. However, all parishioners and friends are welcome. During the Mass the name of your loved one will be read aloud. Also at that time, a member of the family may come up to receive a candle which has been lit in memory of your loved one. This is a very moving Mass for all of us to reflect on the memories of those who were close to us, whom are no longer with us.
Winter Coat Collection
St. Patrick Parish will be collecting all sizes of gently worn winter coats, hats, scarves, gloves and heavy socks to be given to those in need. Receptacles will be at the entrances beginning next weekend through November.
150th Anniversary St. Patrick School Alumni Reunion Mass and Reception

As part of 150th Anniversary celebration the parish is having a St Patrick School Alumni Mass and get-together. The festivities will begin with 4:00 Mass on Saturday November 3, 2018 followed by a reception and tour of the school. All are welcome and encouraged to connect with classmates. St. Patrick Parish Steak Fry

There will be a Steak Fry on Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 4-7 pm. Menu will include 12 oz. strip steak, potato, vegetable, salad and dessert for $15. The child menu option will be a superdog and side with dessert for $7.50. Tickets are available in the Parish House, 330-534-1928 or at the door.
