PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION (PSR) 2018-2019
The opening session for parents and students will be Sunday, September 16 in the Church Hall at 9:45 AM. We will be using a new curriculum this year (Pflaum Gospel Weeklies) so that the children and parents will be able to better connect to the Gospel message every week at Mass. We will also schedule Family Mass Days where the children and parents will be asked to serve in liturgical roles at the Sunday Mass. The children will also be learning songs to sing periodically at Family Mass times.
We look forward to this coming year and all the many upcoming events as we celebrate our 150th Anniversary at St. Patrick Church.
If you are new to the parish, or this is your child’s first year of religious education, please call the office, 330-534-1928 and ask for Karen Bartos to enroll.
Do you have a calling to share the gift of our Catholic faith?
Our faith is a gift that we can share in so many ways. We are so thankful for all our teachers called to the ministry of catechesis. If you have a passion and desire to also share our Catholic faith with children, teens or even other adults, please call Karen Bartos (330)534-1928.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Wednesday, September 5, 2018
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened. Come to me and I will refresh you“, Matt 11:28. “I urge priests, religious and lay people to continue and redouble their efforts to teach the younger generations the meaning and value of Eucharistic adoration and devotion. How will young people be able to know the Lord if they are not introduced to the mystery of His presence?”–Pope John Paul II. Eucharistic Adoration will take place in church on Wednesday, Sept. 5 following the 8:30 am Mass, concluding with Benediction at 7:00 pm. Come and meet the merciful love of God that passes through the Heart of Jesus Christ.
