Upcoming Events

 Winter Coat Drive

October 1-November 26, 2017

As we prepare for the upcoming fall and winter season there are many children and adults in our neighborhood and Diocese that may be in need of a warm coat. We are asking that you bring in any clean, gently worn coats, hats and/or gloves and place them in the boxes provided in the front of the church. You may also drop them off at the Parish House during business hours. New items will also be gratefully accepted. Thank you for your generosity!

First Step for Change

October 1-29, 2017

Our parish is participating in this worthwhile program by asking people to fill baby bottles with spare change (or dollars) and return them to the church. There is a display in the back of church where you can find empty bottles to fill. Funds collected will go to Catholic Charities to provide food, clothing, diapers and other “baby essentials” to the low-income pregnant women and families served by our Catholic Charities agencies across the diocese. Please return bottles to the display in back of church by October 29. Thank you for caring and your respect for life.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

October 1-November 26, 2017

We ask you to bring in any non perishable food items and place them in the baskets in the front of the church or at the side entrances.  If you prefer to make a monetary donation, please place it in the collection basket and mark the envelope as “Thanksgiving Food Drive”. Food baskets will be put together to give to those in need for Thanksgiving.  Thank you!

World Mission Sunday Diocesan Special Collection

Saturday & Sunday Masses-October 21-22, 2017

October 22, 2017 is World Mission Sunday. Each October, this celebration leads us to the heart of our Christian faith – leads us to mission, as Pope Francis explains. On this day, we are called – as baptized Catholics – to celebrate and support local churches in Asia and Africa, the Pacif c Islands, and parts of Latin America and Europe, an area that covers more than half the territory of the globe. Through the work and witness of mission priests, religious and lay leaders, the poor receive practical help and experience God’s love and mercy, His hope and peace.

Vocation Awareness Week

Vocation Awareness Week for this year will be celebrated from Sunday, November 5th through Saturday, November 11th. Consider making a visit to the church during Adoration this week on Wednesday, November 8, to pray for vocations.

O Father, You desire all of us to be happy. Stir up the grace of a religious vocation in the hearts of many men and women. Grant to them the willingness and generosity to give of themselves, their lives, their time and their talents to the service of Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord and Savior, and to His Holy Church. May more men and women go forth as priests, deacons, brothers and sisters to bring the truths of our Catholic faith to all others so that soon they, too, may know You better and love You more…and serving You, be truly happy. Amen.
