The regular celebration of Reconciliation is offered each Saturday at 12:00 noon, or upon request.  The Reconciliation Room is located in the rear hallway of the church (use the East Water Street side entrance) and offers the penitent an opportunity for either face-to-face or anonymous confession with a screened partition.  If you wish to speak privately with a priest at any time, please call the Administration Office at 330.534.1928.

An evening Communal Penance Service with individual confession is also scheduled during the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent.

Older youth and adults who have not been fully initiated into the Roman Catholic Church may receive sacramental preparation through the RCIA or RCIC process (see below). These catechumens generally celebrate First Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.

See the Schedule of Masses for regular weekend Eucharistic celebrations, weekday liturgies, and Holy Days of obligation.  The Church encourages us to receive the Eucharist often, with great reverence, and to be in the state of grace.

ANNOINTING OF
THE SICK

Cross

The Church offers to her members, particularly those who are not necessarily in danger of dying but who are seriously ill or may be undergoing a serious medical procedure, the consolation of receiving anointing with blessed oil as a sign of strengthening in the face of illness, limitations and powerlessness.  Periodically, the sacrament is celebrated at St. Patrick Church within the context of liturgy, or parishioners may request individual anointing for themselves or for another person.  Those in danger of dying should receive the last rites or Viaticum as they prepare for their journey to meet their Creator.  Family members and friends of the sick or dying should notify the priests to request anointing for their loved ones or friends.

RITE OF CHRISTIAN
INITIATION FOR
ADULTS
(R.C.I.A.)

This is the Catholic Church's normative process for adults to enter the Church through the Sacraments of Initiation - Baptism / Confirmation / Eucharist.  Inquirers gather with members of the parish community and their sacramental Sponsors for a period of catechesis and enlightenment as they journey with the Parish through the Lenten Season to the Easter Sacraments.  At the Easter Vigil, the Eve of Easter, the Elect are fully initiated into the Roman Catholic Church.  The period of inquiry or catechesis is designed to expose the catechumens to Catholic doctrine, worship and prayer, the Church, and the sacraments, especially the Eucharist.  The R.C.I.A. journey begins in the fall, with candidates meeting weekly.

Classes: Wednesdays, 7:00 PM, Administration Building
